Iowa basketball player, and former West Des Moines Valley standout Peter Jok has been indefinitely suspended from the Hawkeye Men's Basketball Team.

Jok was arrested late Monday night and charged with driving with a revoked license, a serious misdemeanor.

Jok pleaded guilty to OWI on May 2nd after an arrest on April 26th for driving his moped while under the influence of alcohol.

Tuesday night, Head Coach Fran McCaffery released the following statement:
“In light of last night’s moped incident, I’ve decided to suspend Peter Jok indefinitely from all University of Iowa basketball related activities. We support Peter, but we’re not happy with his recent pattern of behavior.
“In the interim, Peter will continue to attend summer school classes, participate in community service projects, and take time to work on things internally, as outlined in accordance with the student-athlete Code of Conduct. We will monitor his progress and go from there.”
