Opening Night Set for Friday, October 17
Des Moines, IA – The Iowa Wild announced on Tuesday eight guaranteed home dates for the upcoming 2014-15 season, the team’s second in the American Hockey League (AHL). Opponents and a full schedule will be announced later in the summer.
Iowa opens its home schedule with Opening Night on Friday, October 17. All Friday night games during the season will be $2 Beer Nights, where fans may purchase ten-ounce domestic drafts for $2 through the first period of play. The team follows up with its second home game on Saturday, October 18. Iowa celebrates local heroes with a Guns and Hoses game (Police Dept. vs. Fire Dept.). After the game, the team will accommodate a Scout Sleep Over.
Iowa presents Girl Scout Cookie Kickoff and Kids Winterfest on Saturday, January 17. The team celebrates local armed forces with its second annual Military Appreciation Night on Friday, January 30, also a $2 Beer Night. Iowa wraps up January with a game on Saturday, January 31.
The Wild hosts its second annual Pink in the Rink game on Saturday, February 14. Last year, the team raised over $36,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness in partnership with Susan G. Komen Iowa®.
Iowa hosts a $2 Beer Night on Friday, March 27. The team welcomes Faith and Family Day on Saturday, March 28.

The team will also release a full promotions schedule later in the summer. 
The Wells Fargo Minnesota Wild Road Tour stops in Des Moines on Tuesday, June 24. The event takes place in the parking lot of the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center. The exact times and players will be announced at a later date. For the event, the Iowa Wild will provide outdoor games with room for pictures and autographs, as well as a check presentation for a donation from the Iowa Wild players to the Des Moines Youth Hockey Association.
