The World-Herald’s annual list of best Big Ten players is stacked heavily toward a trio of teams: Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin. Not surprisingly, it’s those teams that should start inside the top 10 when the coaches and media polls come out in August.
Atop the players list is Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, who has all the tools: speed, quickness, toughness and good hands.
Nebraska doesn’t make much of an appearance, which isn’t all that surprising, given the youth and relative inexperience of the team. Once the Huskers prove it on the field, they’ll likely move up in next year’s list.
