Actor Michael Madsen, best known for roles in Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill: Vol. 2, has died at the age of 67 after suffering cardiac arrest Thursday (July 3) morning, his managers Ron Smith and Ron Smith and publicist Liz Rodriguez, confirmed to in a statement to CBS News.
"In the last two years Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film including upcoming feature films Resurrection Road, Concessions and Cookbook for Southern Housewives, and was really looking forward to this next chapter in his life," managers Susan Ferris and Ron Smith and Publicist Liz Rodriguez said in a statement.
"Michael was also preparing to release a new book called Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems currently being edited. Michael Madsen was one of Hollywood's most iconic actors, who will be missed by many," they added.
Madsen was a frequent collaborator with director Quentin Tarantino, which included appearing in the iconic 'Stuck in the Middle' Reservoir Dogs torture scene, as well as Kill Bill: Vol. 2, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, as well as the films WarGames, The Natural, The Doors, Thelma & Louise, Free Willy, Species, Donnie Brasco, Die Another Day, Sin City and Scary Movie 4, as well as voiceover work for various video games including Grand Theft Auto III, Narc, Crime Boss: Rockay City and the Dishonored series.
