Pittsburgh Steelers LB, TJ Watt joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show after their disappointing loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs. TJ describes what it was like growing up with his rough and tumble brothers and their shared love of hockey. He commends his QB, Ben Roethlisberger and how he handled his farewell season. And they are interrupted by a power outage but ‘power’ through to finish the interview in style, as TJ talks about his run at the single season sack record.
Dan Patrick: “When did Ben (Roethlisberger) tell you that he was retiring?”
TJ Watt: “Never, I mean, that was just all through media. It was never a conversation that we had. (He) never addressed the team and I just don’t think he wanted to be a distraction, like a farewell tour type of thing. I think he handled it well and yeah, we never really had a full conversation about it.”
