As everyone is aware the snow has arrived here in the state of Iowa and I can’t stand it. What we got today I can live with, but I know it’s an introduction to a rough few months.
When I was a kid I loved the snow, loved everything about it, it came with snowball fights, school delays, and snow days. It was a glorious time. As I turned 16 and started to have to drive in it I quickly realized how much I hate it and want nothing to do with it. Of course I live in the Midwest and have chosen to stay in the Midwest, so snow will never not be a part of my life.
What really p*sses me off these days- where I live currently isn’t built for snow. I live on top of a hill so when it does snow I have to either go down the hill or up it to get in my parking lot. Once I enter the parking lot you have to go immediately up a steep hill so if the parking lot is not plowed, or I don’t have a big truck, there’s no way I can get my vehicle into my apartment parking lot. Too many of times over the last few years I have lived at my apartment I have gotten stuck or I didn’t make it. It has caused me to be late to multiple events, work, and some other things.
So for me, when I see the snow I just know my life is about to be turned upside down. Let’s all buckle up…it’s going to be a rough few months
