Colin Cowherd: âThe Eagles rushed for 365 yards against the Packers. The longer Matt LaFleur is the Green Bay Packers coach the less resilient and the softer this franchise gets. Five of the Packers' seven highest cap hits are on defense and the tackling is putrid. You become your coach. The Titans with Mike Vrabel are tough, Belichickâs teams are smart and resourceful, Andy Reidâs are clever, Pete Carrollâs have high energy, I donât know what Matt LaFleur's teams are⌠pretty? They have no identity. They have no street fight at all, and no resiliency. The sports media likes âstoriesâ, but instead of telling you whatâs happening, they are rooting for a story. Matt LaFleur was an interesting âstoryâ. Generational handsome guy, could connect with handsome quarterback Aaron Rodgers, letâs get a frumpy Mike McCarthy out of here, and everybody liked the âstoryâ and he was elevated to a VIP status for quickly for beating the Lions and the Bears twice a year. Is that really Green Bayâs standard? Itâs official, Green Bay is done for the year and they just donât regularly beat elite football teams. If you put them up against a physical San Francisco team, or a Tom Brady team, they always just look like âwell, we better lead at half!â, because now it looks like theyâve become a bad second half team. The defense underachieves, the offense underachieves, theyâre less physical than when he took it over [LaFleur], and theyâve become a TERRIBLE second half team, 1-5 when they trail at half. We can keep blaming Aaron Rodgers on this but heâs obviously banged up with his thumb, and he had a lot of Wâs before Matt LaFleur got there. With Aaronâs salary I donât see light at the end of the tunnel. When you look at the tough and physical GOOD teams like Buffalo, San Francisco, and Philly, man, it looks like Green Bay is a mile away. What is the Packers identity? What do they do extraordinarily well? It should be easier with Aaron Rodgers but I still donât know what the Packersâ identity is.â (Full Segment Above)
Watch Colin Cowherd call out Matt LaFleur and his 4-8 Green Bay Packers as Colin rips LaFleur for fostering âsoftâ Packer teams, and wonders what exactly LaFleur adds to the franchise besides being âhandsome.â
Check out the segment above as Colin details why itâs becoming obvious that the Packers are lacking any identity and have simply become an anonymous middle of the road team with no future.
