Williams' top 5 4th of July songs

posted by Chris Williams -

One time, on air, Andrew Downs called me a hick. It seemed a little strong to me, but it was at that point when I realized that you can take the boy out of southwest Iowa, but you can't take southwest Iowa out of the boy.

I freaking love the 4th of July. It's a top 3 holiday for sure. I love the small town festivals. I love fireworks. I love cold beer and I love freedom.

I love America.

Here are my top 5 favorite patriotic songs for you guys to add to your 4th of July playlists. You all can thank me later.

5 - Only in America, Brooks & Dunn

The greatest musical duo of all-time.

4 - Where the Stars And Stripes And the Eagle Fly, Aaron Tippin

Notably written by former Iowa QB CJ Beathard's dad, Casey.

3 - It's America, Rodney Atkins

Pretty much every Rodney Atkins song makes me tear up since I became a dad. It's like he speaks to me or something.

2 - Party in the USA, Miley Cyrus

Hell yeah. Sing it, girl.

"Noddin' my head like, yeah. Movin' my hips like, yeah."

1 - Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue

It's like the LeBron debate. There is no debate. He is the best basketball player in the world and this is the greatest patriotic song of all-time.

"We'll put a boot in your ass, it's the American way."
